This compass was made by Pasto in the 1950's, but the design was not theirs. Kührt compassmakers in Nürnberg were granted a patent in 1939 for the use of a transparant plate with a grid in their compass. After WW2 Kührt was bought by Pasto. They made this smaller version of the Kührt compass.
