SEL Pocket compass with radio-active paint on needle



This bakelite compass was produced by J & L Randall Ltd.    J & L Randall Ltd was a British toy manufacturer, based in Potters Bar, which was in Middlesex until 1965 and then in Hertfordshire. The company flourished in the 1950s and 1960s. The company used the trading name "Merit" for general toys and "SEL" for technical toys. Both names were used for this compass.


This SEL pocket compass has a lightdot on the needle.

 Contains Radium paint. (0,16 micro sievert/h)
