This brass press fit cover compass has an aluminium "Singer's Patent (Night Compass)"dial. The edge of the dial has a 128-piece triangle design. The pivot is jeweled. Diameter is 38 mm. The compass dial is not signed by the maker. Around the 1860's and 1880's this type of compass was equipped with Singer's Patent dials.
This compass has a radium paint dot. Therefore it probably is produced around 1910-1920.
